Julia from Skinflow Team Unterhaching reports on the NiSV "Optical radiation" course

Julia skinflow Unterhaching

I recently attended the NiSV specialist seminar “Optical Radiation”, which dealt intensively with the various aspects of optical, non-ionizing radiation and its application in permanent hair removal. The event was both theoretical and practical and provided me with valuable insights into a topic that is of great importance in the modern aesthetics and cosmetics industry.

The seminar began with an explanation of the basics of optical radiation. The speakers explained the different types of radiation, in particular the role of lasers and light sources in hair removal. The physical properties of the different types of light, such as wavelengths and intensity, were discussed in detail, which helped me to better understand how the different devices work.

A central point of the seminar was safety when dealing with optical radiation. The speakers emphasized the importance of protective measures for both practitioners and customers. The potential risks associated with improper use were pointed out.

This information was particularly insightful as it made me aware of the responsibility that comes with carrying out permanent hair removal treatments.

In the practical part of the seminar, I had the opportunity to get to know various treatment devices for permanent hair removal and observe how they are used. Under the guidance of experienced specialists and medical specialists, I carried out a few treatments myself and was able to directly experience the differences between the various technologies, such as IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and laser. It was impressive to see how the different devices work and the results they can achieve. The practical application helped me to develop a better understanding of the technology and how to use the devices.

Another important aspect was the discussion of the legal framework and the need for training and certification for professionals working in this field. The speakers explained the relevant regulations and laws governing the use of optical radiation and made it clear that sound training is essential to ensure the safety and effectiveness of treatments.

In summary, attending the “Optical Radiation” seminar was an extremely enriching experience. Not only did I gain valuable knowledge about the physical principles and application of optical radiation in permanent hair removal, but I also developed a deeper understanding of the safety aspects and legal framework. The combination of theory and practice helped me to better internalize the content and prepare me for my future work in this field. I can recommend the seminar to anyone who is involved in permanent hair removal or works in the cosmetics industry.

And when you pass the exam and hold the certificate in your hands, the joy is of course huge 😊
