skinflow

Permanently hair-free - regardless of hair and skin type

In contrast to laser or IPL, which mainly work on dark hair on light skin, electro-epilation in Munich works regardless of hair color, skin type or texture. This is because each hair is treated individually. Treatment methods that work with light are not successful on very light or light blonde hair, reddish hair or even gray and white hair. This is because the hair has no or the wrong pigment (pheomelanin instead of eumelanin).

Frequently asked questions about electroepilation in Munich

Electroepilation is the umbrella term for all procedures in which hair is permanently removed using
electrical energy. It comprises three main methods: thermolysis, electrolysis and blending. Needle epilation is more of a colloquial term for electroepilation, as a fine probe (needle) is inserted into the hair follicle in all variants. It therefore usually means the
same thing – but is not scientifically differentiated. Thermolysis is a specific technique of electroepilation in which heat is generated with high-frequency alternating current to destroy the hair root. It is fast, suitable for fine hair and less sensitive skin, but often less thorough for very deep or thick hairs.

Thermolysis is a proven method of electroepilation in which high-frequency
alternating current generates targeted heat. This energy is conducted directly into the hair follicle via an extremely fine probe, where it permanently prevents the hair growth center. The advantage: the treatment is fast, efficient and particularly suitable for smaller areas and fine hair – such as the face.
Thanks to its short pulse times, thermolysis is a very gentle technique that many people find pleasant. It is ideal for people with sensitive skin or those who do not respond to other procedures such as laser treatment. As part of electroepilation, it is one of the few methods that can also reliably remove light, red or gray hair – permanently and precisely.

The blending method is a particularly effective form of electroepilation that combines two technologies: Thermolysis (heat through high-frequency current) and electrolysis (chemical reaction through direct current). The hair follicle is first heated and at the same time an alkaline solution is formed, which additionally prevents the hair growth center. This dual effect makes the blending method particularly thorough – even on deep-seated or thick hairs. The combination of the two methods makes the treatment somewhat more time-consuming than pure thermolysis, for example, but particularly long-lasting. The blending method is ideal for more challenging areas or for thicker hair growth. It is often used when other methods have not produced the desired results – and ensures lasting results, regardless of skin and hair color.

Electrolysis is the oldest and at the same time a very proven form of electroepilation. In this method, direct current is fed into the hair follicle via a fine probe. This current triggers a chemical reaction
in the body’s own tissue: Caustic soda is produced, which permanently destroys the hair root. Electrolysis has a targeted and permanent effect – regardless of hair or skin color. Although it requires slightly more time per hair than other methods, electrolysis is considered to be particularly thorough
and permanently effective, even on deeply rooted or difficult hair. It is ideal for fine detail work or sensitive areas. The treatment is carried out by trained professionals and is
a proven solution for anyone who wants to say goodbye to unwanted hair growth for good.

Yes, this is generally possible, but of course very time-consuming, as each hair is treated individually. As a rule, we first remove all dark hairs with the IPL method and then treat the remaining light hairs individually.

Classic areas are the upper lip, chin and the entire face. This method can also be used to treat areas closer to the eyebrows than with laser or IPL. Of course, all other areas such as armpits, bikini/intimate areas, chest, stomach, back, arms and legs can also be treated. As a rule, the dark hair is removed first with the light or laser method and the remaining hair with electroepilation.

Our customers tell us that they perceive the pulses as a slight prick. The probe is extremely fine and the stoma impulse is very weak and targeted. For larger areas or longer treatments, however, the treatment may be perceived as slightly uncomfortable. We therefore recommend a maximum treatment duration of 30 – 60 minutes, especially for the first few treatments.

The practitioner or electrologist must be able to see the hair and pull it out with tweezers. A minimum length of 2-3 mm is therefore necessary. You must not shave immediately before the treatment! Furthermore, the normal precautionary rules apply as before a laser or light pulse treatment, e.g. no intensive sun exposure immediately before the treatment.
